Holiday Inn Newark Intl Airport

The hotel was clean and attractive. The only two drawbacks were a very hard mattress and the fact that there were no restaurants close by.

I like the location and the service was friendly.

This hotel is a convenient, pleasant, well maintained affordable choice for short stays at Newark airport.

Wish they would provide free internet connections, it would be a big draw. Hotel interior, especially our room, can see a good renovation. Simply because we are over 60 should not have automatically booked us into a wheel-chair room, depriving us the thought of using a bath, not to mention that they bathroom looked like a run-down hospital bathroom. And the faucet only ran out hot water for 5 minutes before it cools down; very dangerous for old folks. Not value for money. ...read more

Disappointed to see a run down national chain such as the Holiday Inn. This is one of the least maintained HI or HI Express I have ever stayed in. Need some heavy duty overhaul and upgrade to be in the 3 star or above category. If remodeling is out of the question, at least make the place clean and well maintained. ...read more

I knew beforehand that this hotel was not an upscale hotel, but the customer service I've received were surprisingly horrible. I made reservations for the bus to come pick me up the night before, but found out that it left early without me because of certain issues which they would not clarify. For the restaurant service, I had to wait 20 minutes for service while I watched a group of older Caucasian men, who came after me, get served before me. At the time, only 3 tables were occupied, which included me, and there were 3 servers present. I watched my server spend most of her time at other tables while I had to call & ask the busboy to get a refill on my drink. I also found a massive dead cockroach on the floor.
